Mount Everest
With an elevation of 29,029 feet (8,848 m), Mount Everest represents the highest spot in the world. Subsequently, Everest is referred to as the tallest mountain in the world. There are some who argue from different perspectives that there are taller mountains than Everest, but historically Everest has the distinction of being the tallest.
