Angel Falls

Angel Falls is found in Canaima NationalPark in Venezuela, South America. It is the tallest waterfall in the world measuring 3,212 feet (979 m) from the top of the falls to the ground below. Angel Falls is also known locally as “kerepakupai meru” which translates to “waterfall of the deepest place.”

The water has a clear drop of 2,647 feet (807 m) before it touches anything. With the amount of time in the air, much of the water turns to vapor or mist and never reaches the river bottom. Angel Falls does not have the volume of water to attract attention like Niagara, Victoria or Iguassu Falls, but it does trump them all with the distance that water falls.

The is more coming on Angel Falls including how to best experience the falls, where to stay, and what to do.
